The official website for Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai! has revealed that a second season of the anime will be heading our ways. The website has specified that a second season of the anime is currently in the makes, most likely being another 13 episode anime. But it could be much longer, as with K-ON!! having 26 episodes compared to the 13 of the first season. There is also much talks about where the anime would go, since it did branch off from the light novel significantly.
This comes days after the video teaser seen at the end of Tamako Market which features Rikka having her faced pulled around by Yuuta, judging by the comments made by Rikka, and the words “Contract renewed” appearing at the end, hinting more of the anime to come. On top of that a new image appeared on the official website, seen above, with the same tag line. If you haven’t seen the video check it out here:
Yuuta Togashi suffered from chuunibyou while he was in middle school. When he graduated, he put that dark history behind him and forgot about it… or he was supposed to. High school was smooth sailing and full of enjoyment—until the unavoidable, sad event occurs. The event that locks Yuuta into a contract with Rikka Takanashi and disrupts his desperately ordinary life.

Now you can hate me with all the fury of moe!! Also, who didn’t see this coming?
In all seriousness, a second season could be a possibility since the official twitter of the anime stated that you should not align the new image and video with the rebroadcasts. More information will be coming soon. So there is still hope 🙂
