Japanese developer Compile Heart has released the first trailer for their newly announced Galapagos RPG brand. The new trailer reveals that the new RPG will be handled by RPG veterans, with the artwork from Final Fantasy artist Yoshitaka Amano, music from Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu’s own band the Earthbound Papas, and the development team of Hyperdimension Neptunia.
The trailer also introduces snippets of Amano’s artwork showing the dark atmosphere of the game. This is rather surprising since Compile Heart’s previous RPGs were more light hearted and colourful in contrast.
Compile Heart has stated that Galapagos RPG will be specifically made for Japan with no indication of an overseas localisation.
