Nintendo & Namco Bandai Announce Mario Kart: Arcade GP DX

While Nintendo has revealed that a Mario Kart game is in the works for the Wii U, Namco Bandai has been busy producing another Mario Kart game for the Arcade; Mario Kart: Arcade GP DX. The game will be the third and latest Mario Kart Arcade GP game produced by Namco Bandai. The Mario Kart series has found itself into the arcades over Japan and numerous other spots across the world since 2005. The game will be a two player game, with GP modes, two-player Co-op and a “Clone Battle” mode. There are also some screenshots released for the game, and from the looks of it the game seems to be quite similar to the latest Mario Kart for the 3DS. The screenshots feature different vehicle usage such as a glider and underwater tracks, a highlight from Mario Kart 7.

Not only is Namco Bandai working on Mario Kart: Arcade GP DX with Nintendo, but they are also tasked with creating the next Super Smash Bros. game for the WIi U, which will be revealed alongside the Mario Kart game for the Wii U at E3 in June. Mario Kart: GP DXwill debut in a fortnight at the Japan Amusement Expo, with no date for foreign markets.
