The official website of the Persona 3 film has been updated to include snippets of new information. The website also includes a new image of the movie seen below that confirms the movie’s title and possible release date. The film will be titled Persona 3 The Movie #1 Spring of Birth which indicates that there could be more than one movie. The film is an adaptation of Atlus’ popular JRPG Persona 3 after the success of the anime adaptation of Persona 4.
There is also a new promotional video for the movie and it does seem rather interesting to say the least. The video shows some of the animation in action as well as a release window for the movie, which will be coming out in Japanese theatres in fall 2013.
The cast for the film has also been revealed. Also to note is that the main protagonist, where in the game he can be named by the player, will be called Makoto Yuki. Voice actor Akira Ishida, voice of Gaara from Naruto, will be voicing Makoto Yuki in the film. The rest of the cast members has also been revealed and are the original voice actors and actresses from the original Persona 3 game.

The production team has also been named with Noriaki Akitaya (Director of Bakuman. and a few episodes of Code Geass) directing the film. The film will be prodcued by AIC A.S.T.A. ,who also produced the successful Persona 4: the Animation and Humanity Has Declined. Seiji Kishi (Angel Beats!, Devil Survivor 2: The Animation) will be supervising the production of the film and the script will be written by Persona 4: The Animation‘s scriptwriter Jun Kumagai. The music will be composed by the magnificent Shoji Meguro who composed the soundtrack of Persona 3 and Persona 4.
