During the recent Niconico livestream for Takumi Hiiragiboshi and Yuu Asaba’s light novel series Absolute Duo has released more information for the upcoming series. The anime itself will be airing this upcoming January and more staff that will be producing the series were also revealed.
More of the anime’s staff have been revealed and the full crew are as follows:

- Anime Character Designer & Animation Director: Keiichi Sano (Strike the Blood, Heaven’s Memo Pad)
- Mechanical Designer: Takashi Kojima (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood and Bakemonogatari Key Animator)
- Art Director: Kenta Masuda (The World God Only Knows and Motto To Love Ru Background Artist)
- Color designer: Yuko Tsumori (Prince of Tennis, Tsubasa: Tokyo Revelations)
- Editor: Kashiko Kimura (Infinite Stratos, Hanayamata)

The anime’s main cast was earlier revealed and includes:
- Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Kirito in Sword Art Online) will voice lead character Tooru Kokonoe
- Nozomi Yamamoto (Yukimura Kusunoki in Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai) is voicing the main heroine Yurie Sigtuna
- Ayaka Suwa (Tokaku Azuma from Akuma no Riddle) will voice Tomoe Tachibana
- Ayaka Imamura (First major role) as Miyabi Hotaka
- Haruka Yamazaki (Eita Kidou in Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru) as Lilith Bristol

Absolute Duo is a light novel series written by Takumi Hiiragi-Boshi and features character designs from Yuu Asaba. The series began in 2012 in Media Factory’s MF Bunko J imprint. To date the series has a total of 6 compiled volumes. The series also received a manga adaptation earlier last year in Media Factory’s Monthly Comic Alive magazine by Shinichirou Nariie.

After losing a loved one, Tooru Kokonoe enrolls at Kouryou Academy so as to gain a <<Blaze>>, a weapon that is his soul manifestation, for the sake of revenge. He was expecting a weapon… What he got was a shield… How is he to seek revenge with something that isn’t even a weapon?!
The Absolute Duo anime will be airing January 2015 during the Winter 2014/2015 anime season. Further information about the series will be released in the upcoming weeks.
