The second promotional video has released for the anime adaptation of Yusei Matsui’s manga Assassination Classroom (Ansatsu Kyoushitsu). This new video introduces the premise of the anime and the mysterious Koro-sensei, as well as giving a preview of the anime’s Opening theme song Seishun Satsubatsu-ron by the 3-nen E-gumi Utatan (the cast of the series). The series itself will be directed by Seiji Kishi (Persona 4 The Animation, Angel Beats!) and produced by Studio Lerche (Fate/Prototype, Unbreakable Machine-Doll). The anime’s cast includes Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch Lamperouge in Code Geass) as Koro-sensei, Mai Fuchigami (Miho Nishizumi from Girls und Panzer) as Nagisa Shiota and Nobuhiko Okamoto (Rin Okumura in Ao no Exorcist) as Karma Akabane.

A humorous and action-packed story about a class of misfits who are trying to kill their new teacher – an alien octopus with bizarre powers and super strength! The teacher has just destroyed the moon and is threatening to destroy the earth – unless his students can destroy him first. What makes things more complicated is that he’s the best teacher they’ve ever had!
The Assassination Classroom anime will be airing on January 9th 2015 at 25:20 (effectively the 10th at 1:20am) during the Winter 2014/2015 anime season. Episode 0 of the anime, titled Deai no Jikan, was just screened at the Jump Special Anime Festa 2014 event last month.
