The official website for Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya has released a lot of new information and images for the series’ second season, Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei! The site has revealed the air date of the anime adaptation of Hiroshi Hiroyama’s manga, where it will begin airing from July 9 this year. The site has also released a new key visual, video, the Opening and Ending themes, and character designs for the series.
The website has released new updated character designs for Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei! Here they are with their respective voice actors/actresses:
- Mai Kadowaki (Sanya V. Litvyak from Strike Witches) will be voicing Illyasviel von Einzbern
- Kana Ueda (Hayate Yagami in Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha A’s) voices Rin Tohsaka
- Kaori Nazuka (Nunnally Lamperouge from Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch ) is voicing Miyu Edelfelt
- Shizuka Itou (Himawari Kunogi from xxxHOLiC) will voice Luviagelita Edelfelt
- Chiwa Saito (Homura Akemi in Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica) will voice Chloe von Einzbern
- Naoko Takano (Kohaku from Carnival Phantasm) voices Magical Ruby
- Miyu Matsuki (Yoshinoya in Hidamari Sketch) is voicing Magical Sapphire
- Noriaki Sugiyama (Sasuke Uchiha in Naruto) will voice Shirou Emiya
- Miki Itou (Android 18 in Dragon Ball Z) is voicing Taiga Fujimura
- Haruhi Terada (Kasumi Aono in Rosario to Vampire) as Sella
- Miho Miyagawa (Kuguru Sahara from PetoPeto-san) will playas Leysritt
- Emiri Kato (Kyuubey in Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica) will voice Tatsuko Gakumazawa
- Mariya Ise (Stocking Anarchy from Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt) is voicing Nanaki Moriyama
- Kanae Itou (Elsie from The World God Only Knows) plays as Suzuhana Kurihara
- Satomi Sato (Ritsu Tainaka from K-ON!) voices Mimi Katsura
Additionally, two new characters for the series were also announced:
- Ami Koshimizu (Ryuuko Matoi from Kill la Kill) as Caren Ortensia
- Hitomi Nabatame (Kazusa Touma in White Album 2) will voice Bazett Fraga McRemitz

The website has also revealed the Opening and Ending themes of the anime. The Opening will be moving soul performed by Minami Kuribayashi (Infinite Stratos OP). The Ending theme will be TWO BY TWO from Yumeha Kouda (Kiddy GiRL-AND ED4).
The third promotional video for the anime was also released, which previews the series’ OP.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya is a spin off manga series from Type-Moon’s Fate/stay night franchise by Hiroshi Hiroyama. The manga follows Illyasviel von Einzbern in an alternate universe where she is a magical girl. The manga original released in 2007 in Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine. A sequel series Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei! released in 2009 and another titled Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 3wei! released in 2012. The anime adaptation of the first manga series aired in June last year and was produced by Silver Link.
Here is a brief synopsis of the series from MAL:
Spin-off of Fate/stay night with Illyasviel von Einzbern as the protagonist, living an alternate life as a school girl. While taking a bath, she stumbles upon Kaleido Stick Ruby, who turns her into a magical girl.
Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei! will be airing from July 9, this Summer 2014 anime season. It will premiere on Tokyo MX at 25:35 (effectively July 10 at 3:35). Further information about the series will release in the next few weeks.
