The official website has launched and announced that an anime adaptation of Ameba’s mobile social game, GirlFriend (Beta), will be produced for this Fall/Autumn.
GirlFriend (Beta) is a free to play, mobile online battle card game developed by Cyber Agent for their Ameba social network. The game also featured dating sim mechanics and even spawn a spin-off game titled Boyfriend (Beta). GirlFriend (Beta) released in 2012 on Android and IOS devices in Japan, where no news on localisation has been made so far.
One of the game’s biggest strength is that it contains over 90 characters all voiced by popular voice actresses. It has not been announced whether all the characters will appear in the anime. Here is a handful of the voice actresses that voice in the game:
