New Black Butler: Book of Circus Visual + Opening & Ending Theme

A new key visual has appeared on the official Black Butler (Kuroshitsuji) website for the upcoming anime Black Butler: Book of Circus, which will air in July. The anime was announced in March with the announcement of the OVA Book of Murder.

The website also revealed the opening and ending themes for the anime. The opening song will be ENAMEL from the Japanese rock band Sid. The ending theme song will be Aoki Tsuki Michite sung by DISACODE’s Akira.

The first character visuals and information were also revealed on the site:

Black Butler, also known as Kuroshitsuji is a manga series created by Yana Toboso. The series started in 2006 and is currently being published by Square Enix in their Monthly GFantasy magazine. To date the series has a total of 18 volumes with more on the way, selling over 5 million copies. The manga also won many awards, including the Best International Manga Award in Germany’s 2011 Animagic. Since its release, there has been two anime adaptations, a series of OVAs, a live action film and 2 musical production. The first anime series was produced by A-1 Pictures in 2008 with the sequel anime airing 2010. The OVAs are a side story to the main story, and the live adaptation film is based on the manga. The musical productions, titled That Butler, Friendship and Musical Black Butler: The Most Beautiful Death in The World – A Thousand Souls and The Fallen Grim Reaper ran in 2009 and 2010 respectively. The latter received a second run mid last year.

Black Butler: Book of Circus will be airing in July during the Summer 2014 anime season. Book of Murders, the follow up OVA, will be out later this year. Though a date has not been announced, advance tickets can be bought on June 29th at the Book of Circus event.
