Despite our earlier report on a major announcement being made on April 18th, it has been leaked that a second season of the anime Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) is currently in production. The announcement for the series, which is also most commonly known to as Oregairu, appeared on an advertisement poster for the series’ publisher Gagaga Bunko.
Additionally, the release date of the light novel’s 9th volume was revealed. The volume will release on April 18th, the same date as the planned livestream of Gagaga Bunko, where the writer of the series, Wataru Watari, will make a special appearance.

Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) is a light novel series written by Wataru Watari and illustrated by Ponkan8. The light novels began in March 2011 and is published in Shogakukan’s Gagaga Bunko imprint. To date there has been 8 volumes with 4 short stories. There has been three spin-off manga adaptations written and illustrated by various people. The series also received an anime adaptation that aired in April 2012. The anime was animated by Brains Base. Additionally, a visual novel was developed by 5pb. for the PlayStation Vita that released on September 19th last year.
Not too much has been revealed for the second season of Oregairu, including whether or not the animation studio Brains Base will return. More information about the planned second season may be revealed on the Gagaga Bunko livestream found here: http://live.nicovideo.jp/gate/lv173209566
