Today it was announced that Platinum Games, the developers of Bayonetta, Vanquish and Metal Gear Rising, will be developing a new game based on Nickelodeon’s popular series The Legend of Korra releasing digitally this year.
The game will have an original story set between the second and upcoming third season of the series. It will be written by Tim Hedrick, one of the lead writers on the show. The game will be a fast paced character action game similar to the developer’s previous games. Players will be able to control Korra and use all her bending powers and even participate in the Pro Bending arena.
Platinum have released some screenshots of the game.
In addition to Platinum’s game, a 3DS turn based strategy title from Webfoot Technologies will also be releasing this year.

Activision will be publishing The Legend of Korra for the PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 4 as a downloadable game this Fall. Gameplay and additional information about the game will release later in the week.
