The official website of Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U has updated with lots of new information on the upcoming PlayStation Vita game. They include the opening video, a new visual, character designs and screenshots. The game itself will be out on August 8 this year.

Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U is a spin-off game in the series, and will be a more action orientated game than other entries in the series. The game will be developed by Compile Heart and Tamsoft, the developer of Senran Kagura. Here is the first key visual of the game, which features Purple Heart:
The website has posted new art and bios for all the main characters of the game. Many of the characters will be returning from previous Hyperdimension Neptunia games.

Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U will also feature two new playable characters, Dengekiko and Famitsu. Dengekiko herself has appeared in previous games, but makes her debut as a playable character. She is a character that represents the Dengeki gaming magazines from ASCII Media Works. Famitsu is a completely new character and represents the Japanese video game magazine Famitsu.

Hyperdimension Neptunia is a video game series developed by Compile Heart and Idea Factory. The games are JRPGs based around console wars, and their companies – Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft. The first game in the series released on the PlayStation 3 in 2010. The games have had many sequels and spin-offs since the first game, and even a manga and anime adaptation. Hyperdimension Neptunia: The Animation was produced by David Production (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Inu x Boku SS) and aired in July 2013. The latest game in the series was Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2: Sisters Generation, a remake of the second game in the series. It released on March 20th in Japan. An additional game will be coming to the PlayStation Vita this Summer, the English version of Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 1.
Ultra Dimension Action Neptunia U will be releasing on the PlayStation Vita in Japan on August 8. There has been no announcements for an English adapation to date.
