The first promotional video for the recently announced anime adaptation of Takashi Yano’s Naruto spin-off novel Itachi Shinden (The True Legend of Itachi). The video, an off-cam capture of the trailer, shows off the past of Itachi Uchiha and his clan. The anime will be titled Naruto: Shippuden – Itachi Shinden ~Hikari to Yami~ (Naruto Shippuuden: The True Legend of Itachi Volume ~Light and Darkness~), and is based on the prequel spin-off novel. The novel itself focuses on the past of Itachi Uchiha and is split into two different novels: Itachi Shinden: Koumyou-hen (The True Legend of Itachi: Glory) and Itachi Shinden: Anya-hen (The True Legend of Itachi: Dark Night).
The Itachi Shinden anime adaptation is being produced for April 2016, during the Spring 2016 anime season.
