The first trailer has been revealed for the 2 upcoming live-action Attack on Titan movies. The first trailer shows us the first ever footage of the upcoming film and a first tease at how the titans will look in the movies. It has also revealed that release date for the films, with the first film releasing on August 1st and the second releasing on September 19th. The films will be directed by Shinji Higuchi (Nadia – The Secret of Blue Water) and produced by TOHO (Ao Haru Ride Live Action Film, Pokémon Films).
The first live-action Attack on Titan movie will be releasing in Japanese theatres on August 1st and the second movie releases on September 19th this year.
The cast of the film were earlier announced and the first set of images were released a few weeks earlier. The leading cast members include:
- Haruma Miura (Yama in the live action Captain Harlock) playing the role of Eren Jaeger
- Kiko Mizuhara (Saki Tateshina in Platinum Data) plays Mikasa Ackerman
- Kanata Hongo (Joichiro Nishi in Gantz) as Armin Arlert
- Satomi Ishihara (Kanae from Monsterz) will assume the role of Hanji Zoe
- Nanami Sakuraba (Kane in The Last Ronin) will be acting out Sasha Braus
- Takahiro Miura (Furuya in live action Space Battleship Yamato) as Jean Kirstein
The images have also revealed that there will be 7 new original characters exclusive to the films:
- Hiroki Hasegawa (Kazuo Higashi from Mozu) will play Shikishima
- Ayame Misaki (Miko in Girl’s Blood) plays Hiana
- Pierre Taki (Tanaka from Tokyo Serendipity) will be starring as Souda
- Jun Kunimura (Tanaka in Kill Bill: Vol. 1) as Kubal
- Shu Watanabe (Eiji Hino from Kamen Rider) stars as Fukushi
- Satoru Matsuo (Takichiro Hanada from Dr. DMAT) playing Sannagi
- Rina Takeda (Yukie in Ryugu no Tsukai) as Lil
