A brand new trailer from AnimeJapan has been released for the upcoming anime adaptation of Yuuto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki’s manga Shokugeki no Souma (Food Wars: Shokugeki no Soma). This new trailer showcases some of the delicious food in the new anime as well as previewing the anime’s Opening theme, Kibou no Uta by ULTRATOWER, and the Ending theme Spice by Tokyo Karan Koron. The series will be directed by Yonetani Yoshitomo (Tiger & Bunny Movie 1: The Beginning, Hoshi no Umi no Amuri) and animated by J.C. Staff (Toradora!, Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo). The anime’s main cast was earlier revealed and features Matsuoka Yoshitsugu (Kirito in Sword Art Online) as Souma Yukihira, Risa Taneda (Mirai Kuriyama in Kyoukai no Kanata) as Erina Nakiri and Minami Takahashi (Mew from Pri Para) as Megumi Tadokoro.
The Shokugeki no Souma anime will be airing from April 4th at 2:25am JST on TBS during the Spring 2015 anime season.
