The first English trailer has been revealed for the upcoming Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions film. It will be a new original anime movie produced in celebration for the 20th anniversary of Kazuki Takahashi’s Yu-Gi-Oh! manga. This teaser trailer previews the tiniest glimpse of the final battle between two legendary rivals, Yugi Muto and Seto Kaiba. The film will be written by Takahashi himself, who is also in charge of character designs and acting as Chief Production Supervisor. The movie will be directed by Satoshi Kuwahara (Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, Astro Boy: Shinsen-gumi) and Studio Dice (Yu-Gi-Oh! (1998)) will be producing the animation.
Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions will be releasing in Japanese theatres in Spring 2016 during Golden Week.
The two main cast members of the original anime will return to reprise their roles:
- Shunsuke Kazama (Shirou Mizunuma in From Up on Poppy Hill) will return to voice Yugi Muto
- Kenjiro Tsuda (Sadaharu Inui from Prince of Tennis) is back as Seto Kaiba
