PlayStation has revealed a 2-part anime special for their Gravity Rush (Gravity Daze) series, Gravity Rush: The Animation – Overture. The animated special is set in between the events of the first game and Gravity Rush 2, as Kat and Raven tackle on new foes and explore new locations. The anime itself was produced by Studio Khara (Rebuild of Evangelion).
The special bridges the first Gravity Rush and its sequel which will release in January 2017 for the PlayStation 4.
A sequel to the original 2012 PlayStation Vita game, Gravity Rush 2, will release on the PlayStation 4 on January 18th for European regions, January 19th for Japan, and January 20th in North America. The game will retain the main features of the first game, which includes a large open world and fluid movement and includes many new mechanics, such as tag-battles. The game will once again be developed by Sony’s Japan Studio.
The remaster of the original Gravity Rush released on the PS4 on December 10th this year in Japan. The remaster will release in North America on February 9th next year, and February 7th in Europe.
