Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko light novel imprint has announced that a TV anime adaptation of Shibai Kineko and Hisasi’s Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? (And you thought there is never a girl online?) is currently in production for April. The anime’s main visual, cast and staff were all revealed on its official website.
The Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? TV anime will begin its broadcast on April 7th at 11:300pm JST on Tokyo MX. The series will also air on BS11 on the 8th at 12:30am JST and on Sun TV at 2:00am JST.
The first members of the anime’s cast has been revealed and includes:
- Toshiyuki Toyonaga (Mikado Ryuugamine from Durarara!!) will voice Hideki Nishimura
- Rina Hidaka (Silica from Sword Art Online) is voicing as Ako Tamaki
- Inori Minase (Chino Kafuu in Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?) as Akane Segawa
- Mao Ichimichi (Kazumi Schlierenzauer from Gokukoku no Brynhildr) voicing Kyou Goshouin
- Hitomi Ohwada (Midori Imai in Shirobako) is going to voice Nanako Akiyama
- Yoshino Nanjo (Eri Ayase in Love Live! School Idol Project) will voice Yui Saitou
The main members of the anime’s production staff were also revealed:
- Director: Shinsuke Yanagi (Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS, Momokyun Sword)
- Series Composer: Tatsuya Takahashi (The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Koukaku no Pandora)
- Animation Studio: Project No.9 (Ro-Kyu-Bu!, Saikin, Imouto no Yousu ga Chotto Okashiinda ga.)
Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? (And you thought there is never a girl online?) is an ecchi comedy manga written by Shibai Kineko and illustrated by Hisasi. The series began in mid 2013 under ASCII Media Works’ Dengeki Bunko imprint, with a total of 8 volumes released to date. A manga adaptation of the series is being produced in ASCII Media Works’s Dengeki G’s Comic magazine.
