The official website of the anime adaptation of Sankaku Head’s Himouto! Umaru-chan manga has announced that the upcoming second season, titled Himouto! Umaru-chan R, will begin airing this October. In addition, a new visual and two new promotional videos were also revealed.
Season 2 of Himouto! Umaru-chan will start airing this October during the Fall/Autumn 2017 anime season. The first season aired in July 2015, during the Summer 2015 anime season, for a total of 12 episodes.
Two brand new promotional videos were released for Himouto! Umaru-chan R, one featuring on Umaru and theother focusing on Nana Ebina.

The main cast of the first season includes:
- Miyu Tomita (Gabriel Tenma White from Gabriel DropOut) stars as Umaru Doma
- Kenji Nojima (Nobuchika Ginoza in Psycho-Pass) will voice Taihei Doma
- Akari Kageyama (Aine Chidorigafuchi from Masou Gakuen HxH) as Nana Ebina
- Haruka Shiraishi (Ronja in Sanzoku no Musume Ronja) voices Kirie Motoba
- Yurina Furukawa (Debut Role) is voicing Sylphynford Tachibana

Himouto! Umaru-chan is a comedic slice of life manga written and illustrated by Sankaku Head. The series began in 2013, published under Shueisha’s Weekly Young Jump magazine. To date a total of 9 volumes have been published. The series received an 12 episode TV anime adaptation in Summer 2015, directed by Masahiko Ohta (Yuru Yuri, Mitsudomoe) and produced by Doga Kobo (Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, Yuru Yuri).
