Sony Computer Entertainment Japan have revealed the PlayStation 3 “Ultimate Character Bent?.” The Bento itself was created in association for the 25th anniversary of the Metal Gear and Final Fantasy franchises, both that propelled Sony’s presence in the gaming market.
Handcrafting and laser manufacturing processes were used to create the bento. The multi-tiered box’s lid is a recreation of the new slim PlayStation 3, down to 0.1-millimeter (0.004-inch) accuracy.
The recreation includes details such as the PS3 logo and Blu-ray Disc slot. Kyoto craftsmen used a traditional lacquering process to give the bent? a high-quality finish on the interior and exterior surfaces. More projects based on the 25th anniversaries of Metal Gear and Final Fantasy will be further announced.
