An anime adaptation of Nico Tanigawa’s Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaete mo Omaera ga Warui! aka Watamote (It’s Not My Fault That I’m Not Popular!) has been announced. I think this time the translated name is less obnoxious than the original but still overly long.
There was a countdown on Square Enix’s manga publication Ganga, and many have speculated and were correct. The countdown resulted in the anime adaptation of Nico Tanigawa’s web manga Watashi ga Motenai no wa Dou Kangaete mo Omaera ga Warui! aka Watamote or It’s Not My Fault That I’m Not Popular! The manga itself follows an obscure and comedic plot which follows the slice of life genre. The gag comedy centers around Tomoko Kuroki, a girl who thought she would be popular when she went to high school. However, she was in for a rude awakening, for cruel reality is not like the otome games (romance games for female players) she played.
There have been speculation about the length of the episodes considering the length of the manga chapters. No confirmation on the episode’s length has been made.
