During Comiket 86, it has been revealed that the third season of Dog Days will be airing from January 2015. The announcement was made on a fan that was passed out during the event. Additionally, the official website of the Dog Days has been updated for the announcement and has revealed that season 3 will be titled Dog Days”, in addition to the series’ first visual, promotional video and staff listing.
The third season of Dog Days was announced way back in 2012 during the Flonya festival. The official website of Dog Days has revealed lots of new information for the upcoming third season, including the first key visual:
The staff members that will be producing the anime was also revealed:
- Director: Junji Nishimura (Dog Days’, Glasslip)
- Character Designer: Osamu Sakata (Dog Days, Dog Days’)
- Chief Animation Directors: Tomoyuki Kitamura (Dog Days, High School DxD), Makoto Iino (Dog Days’, Maoyuu Maou Yuusha)
- Music Composers: Susumu Akizuki (Strike the Blood), Yui Isshiki (Dog Days)
- Sound Directors: Toshiki Kameyama (Dog Days, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha), Chikako Yokota (Dog Days’, Love Stage!!)
- Animation Studio: Seven Arcs (Dog Days, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha)
The website also revealed the singers for the Opening and Ending themes of the anime. The Opening will be performed by Nana Mizuki and the Ending by Yui Horie, both of which also performed the OP and ED for Dog Days and its second season, Dog Days’.

Dog Days is an original anime series created and written by Masaki Tsuzuki, known for creating the Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha manga. The series first began in 2011 for a total of 13 episodes. The anime was produced by Seven Arcs and directed by Keizo Kusakawa (Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha A’s, Campione!). A second season of the anime, titled Dog Days’, was produced in the following year by the same producers, though it was directed by Junji Nishimura instead. The series also inspired a light novel and manga adaptation in 2011.
