The official Twitter of manga publisher Ichijinsha has revealed that there will be a second season of the anime adaptation of Kotaro Kosugi’s manga Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yatte Mita.

The announcement of the anime’s second season comes at an unusual time since only the 7th episode of the anime just recently aired. The anime itself is being produced by Feel (Minami-ke Tadaima, Outbreak Company) and directed by Munenori Nawa (Kiss×sis, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu).
Additionally, a new promotional video for the anime’s current season was released to promote the release of the first volume of Blu-rays and DVDs, that will be releasing on September 24.
Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yatte Mita. is a 4 koma manga by Kotaro Kosugi. It began in 2011 in Ichijinsha’s Manga 4-Koma Palette magazine, where a total of 2 volumes have been produced. Here is a synopsis of the series from MAL:
The story is about the life of a high school girl, Nanako, and her senpai, Yukari, who end up becoming the town’s local idols (locodol) upon the request of her uncle.
Futsuu no Joshikousei ga [Locodol] Yatte Mita. is currently airing this season, the Summer 2014 anime season, on Fridays at 2:16am. Further information about the second season of the anime will release in the upcoming months.
