Kyoto Animation’s Amagi Brilliant Park Key Visual Revealed

Animation studio Kyoto Animation has revealed the first key visual for their anime adaptation of Shoji Gatoh’s Amagi Brilliant Park light novel series. The new visual showcases the landscape, setting and tone of the anime, whilst hiding the character designs.

The anime adaptation of Amagi Brilliant Park will be produced by Kyoto Animation. The series will be directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto, who directed Hyouka and Full Metal Panic? Fumoffu – another anime based on Gatoh’s works. Shoji Gatoh is most known for his popular light novel series, Full Metal Panic!, which received an anime adaptation by Kyoto Animation and another by Gonzo. The light novels began in 1998 and ended after 23 volumes in 2011.

The Amagi Brilliant Park light novels began in February 2013 and currently has 3 volumes released. The light novels are illustrated by Yuka Nakajima, who did the character designs for the 2012 anime Papa no Iukoto wo Kikinasai! (Listen to Me, Girls. I Am Your Father!). In addition to the light novel, Gatoh is also producing the manga adaptation of Amagi Brilliant Park, which started earlier this year.

There is not much known about the anime adaptation of Amagi Brilliant Park. The air date for the anime is currently set to this year, with no specifics announced. Stay tuned as more information will be released in the upcoming months.
