Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution Coming to PC September 2014

Bandai Namco Games have just announced the release window for Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution. The game will be out in North America this September for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and the just confirmed PC. The game will be available on Steam following the success of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst. No European date has been announced.

To celebrate the announcement, Bandai Namco have release a slew of images showcasing the many elements of the game. First, are screenshots showcasing Shisui Uchiha, who was recently announced as a new playable character. Shisui will appear in a brand new story arc focusing on his past with his fellow clan member Itachi Uchiha. There is also an image of Shusui’s own Susanoo.

Another new story added to the game will be the “Truth of Akatsuki” , which will delve into the organisation’s past, foundation and infancy. The story will also include a fully animated special from Studio Pierrot. Masashi Kishimoto, the creator of Naruto, has designed the costumes and outfits of the Akatsuki members as they appear during that time.

Bandai Namco have also revealed that there will be three editions of the game for pre-order. The standard game, when pre-ordered, will have the “Exclusive Samurai Amor Pack” that contains a special samurai armour for Sakura, Sasuke and Naruto. The “Rivals Edition” will contain two additional costumes, Sasuke’s clothes for Naruto and Naruto’s clothes for Sasuke. The final edition is the “Samurai Edition”, which comes with a figurine of a Samurai clad Naruto, a steel metal case and the two costumes in the “Rvials Edition”.

Finally a new trailer has been released. It is a subtitled version of a trailer released two weeks ago, revealing Shisui as a playable character and the “Truth of Akatsuki” story arc.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will be the fifth game in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series and will be a sequel to Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. The games are 3D arena fighting games, and are developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Namco Bandai Games. Revolution has been confirmed to be slightly different from previous games, and could be seen as a spin-off title. The game will include over 100 characters from the entire Naruto anime and manga series. The creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto, designed one of the new characters – Mecha Naruto. The game will include lots of new features, such as the ability to perform “Combination Ultimate Jutsus”, having two characters combining their ultimate attacks into one. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution also introduces a new game mode to the series, Ninja World Tournament. This new mode pits the player against 3 AI characters in a variety of matches in order to obtain special battle orbs. The player with the most orbs win in a tournament style fashion. The game will continue off where the story in Ninja Storm 3 left off.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution will be out on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and on PC – via Steam, this September. There has been no European date announced so far.
