Today is the first day of Comiket, Japan’s largest convention and Shaft has announced some new Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica materials that will be on sale at the event.
The first of the items is a Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica: Rebellion Rakugaki Note and poster pack. The Rakugaki Note itself is a 66 page artbook of the film featuring illustrations, storyboards, cells and production notes from the film. The poster itself is A2 drawn by Ume Aoki, the original character designer of Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica. The pack itself will cost ¥3,000 (~ $30.00 USD).
The next set of items are Puella Magi Holy Quintet T-Shirts. There is one for each of the series’ main characters. Unfortunately he shirts only come in one size. The shirt will come with an illustrated card and will cost ¥3,000 (~ $30.00 USD) altogether.
The final Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica item on sale is a tapestry of the main magical girls in a Summer sailor uniform. The tapestry will cost ¥4,000 (~ $40.00 USD)
Shaft has also revealed another new item that will be on sale at Comiket for their recent show Nisekoi. They will be selling an artbook with 304 pages of production notes, illustrations, storyboards and character designs. The book will cost ¥3,000 (~ $30.00 USD).
All of these products, and much more, will be sold at the current Comic Market. Comiket 86 will be held on August 15, 16 and the 17th at the Tokyo International Exhibition Center. It is the biggest doujin convention in the world, with over 500,000 people attending each convention.
