The first promotional video of the second season of Selector Infected WIXOSS, Selector Spread WIXOSS, has officially released after its debut at Comiket 86. Season 2 of the anime will feature the return of the cast and crew of the anime, with Takuya Sato (Steins;Gate, Ichigo Mashimaro) returning to direct and animation studio J.C. Staff (Toradora!, Bakuman) producing the anime. The upcoming anime’s Opening theme song will be performed by Kanon Wakeshima, and the Ending theme performed by Cyua. Both singers performed the OP and ED of the anime’s first season respectively.
Selector Spread WIXOSS will be airing this October during the Fall/Autumn 2014 anime season.
The main cast of the anime that will return include:
- Ai Kakuma (Terminus Est in Seirei Tsukai no Blade Dance) returns to voice Ruuko Kominato
- Chinatsu Akasaki (Shinka Nibutani from Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!) will reprise her role as Akira Aoi
- Ayane Sakura (Kokoa Hoto in Gochuumon wa Usagi Desu ka?) is back as Yuzuki Kurebayashi.
The official website for Selector Infected WIXOSS has revealed that there will be a live event on Niconico on August 23rd. The event will feature the main cast of the anime in a talk session followed by a showcase of Blu-ray volume 2, which features episodes 5-8.
