At the recent Square Enix press conference for E3 2015, it was announced that a brand new project in the NieR series is currently in production. This new trailer pans over some of the concept and background art of the game and reveals a familiar character, as it is currently very early in pre-production. The game will be a brand new project that will feature the return of the developers at AQ Interactive and Square Enix; with director Taro Yoko, producer Yosuke Saito, and music composer Keiichi Okabe. There will also be new staff members including character designer Akihiko Yoshida and game designer Takahisa Taura from Platinum Games, who will aid in the game’s development. NieR itself is a third person action RPG that released in 2010 and was revered as a cult hit.
Not much is currently known about the new NieR project, more information will be revealed later this year.
