The latest issue of Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine has revealed that animation studio Madhouse will be producing the upcoming anime adaptation of Kazune Kawahara and Aruko’s Ore Monogatari!! (My Love Story!!) manga. Additionally, the main cast and staff of the April anime was also revealed.
The magazine has revealed the main cast of the upcoming anime:
- Megumi Han (Gon Freecss in HunterxHunter) will voice Rinko Yamato
- Takuya Eguchi (Kazuya Kujou in Gosick) is going to voice Takeo Gouda
- Nobunaga Shimazaki (Haruka Nanase in Free!) voices Makoto Sunakawa
The first members of staff of the upcoming anime will include:
- Director: Morio Asaka (Chihayafuru, Cardcaptor Sakura)
- Script Writer: Natsuko Takahashi (Bleach, Baby Steps)
- Anime Character Designer: Kunihiko Hamada (Chihayafuru, NANA)
- Animation Studio: Madhouse (Death Note, No Game No Life)

Ore Monogatari!! (My Love Story!!) is a shoujo romance manga series written by Kazune Kawahara, known for Koukou Debut, and illustrated by Aruko, who worked with Kawahara on many occasions. The series originally began as a one hundred page one shot in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine in October 2011 before being serialized as a full series in May 2012. To date a total of 7 compiled volumes have been released, with the latest releasing in Japan on November 13th. A two chapter crossover with Naoshi Komi’s Nisekoi manga was produced in their respective magazines last year.
Here is a synopsis of the series from MAL:
Tsuyoshi Takeo is a freshman in high school. (Both estimates) Weight: 120kg, Height: 2 meters. He spends his days peacefully with his super-popular-with-girls, yet insensitive childhood friend, Sunagawa. One morning, on the train to school, Takeo saves a girl, Yamato, from being molested by a pervert. Could this be the beginning of spring for Takeo?
The Ore Monogatari!! TV anime adaptation will air from April in the Spring 2015 anime season on NTV. Additional information about the series will release soon.
