Bandai Namco Games Europe have released a few new images for the upcoming release of Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4, including the first new images about the characters and costumes from the recent Naruto film The Last -Naruto the Movie-.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will feature some of the characters from the recent The Last -Naruto the Movie –, which is set after the events of chapter 699 in the manga. The revealed characters so far from the film include Naruto, Hinata, Sakura and Sasuke, who will be in the game with their film attire and abilities. Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will be the fifth game in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series and will be a direct sequel to Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. The games are 3D arena fighting games, and are developed by CyberConnect2 and published by Namco Bandai Games. The games are based on the anime adaptations (Naruto and Naruto Shippuden) of Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto manga series. The manga began in 1999 in Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump magazine, where to date a total of 69 volumes have released. Since its debut the manga has sold over 130 million copies in Japan alone. Both anime series were produced by Studio Pierrot. Additionally, a total of 9 anime films have released to date and numerous OVAs and specials. The latest game in the Ultimate Ninja Storm series is Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Revolution, a spinoff that released earlier in the year.
Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 will be released on the PlayStation 4, on PC via Steam, and on the Xbox One in European regions and North America later this year. The game will be releasing exclusively on the PlayStation 4 in Japan this year.
