The official website of the anime adaptation of Hiroshi Hiroyama’s Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya has revealed a brand new visual for the upcoming fourth season, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!!. In addition, it is hinted at that the anime may run for a total of 12 episodes.
The anime’s website has also revealed that the anime will have a total of 6 Blu-ray and DVD volumes. This could indicate that the series will run for a total of 12 episodes; generally anime volumes contain 2 episodes each. All previous seasons of the anime ran for 10 episodes that were released over 5 volumes.
The first volume will release on September 30th with the Blu-ray listing for ¥7,500 (~ US$72.00) and the DVD listing for ¥6,500 (~US$62.50). It will contain:
- A special short animation
- A special booklet containing interviews, story guide, and art
- Animation storyboards of the first episode
- A special box drawn by character design Kazuya Hirata
- Textless Opening sequence
The remaining volumes have the following release dates:
- Volume 2: October 28
- Volume 3: November 25
- Volume 4: December 23
- Volume 5: January 27
- Volume 6: February 24
Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!! will begin its broadcast from July 6th on AT-X at 11:30pm JST. It will also air on Tokyo MX on the 7th at 1:05am JST. Prior to its debut, AT-X will be rebroadcasting all episodes of Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei Herz! and an unaired episode on July 3rd from 8:30am JST.
The main cast of the upcoming anime includes:
- Mai Kadowaki (Sanya V. Litvyak from Strike Witches) returns to voice Illyasviel von Einzbern
- Kaori Nazuka (Nunnally Lamperouge from Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch) is voicing Miyu Edelfelt
- Misato Fukuen (Hikage Miyauchi in Non Non Biyori) as Tanaka
- Rie Kugimiya (Alphonse Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood) will voice Beatrice Flowerchild
- Ryoko Shiraishi (Hayate Ayasaki from Hayate no Gotoku!) voices Angelica
The remainder of the revealed cast includes:
- Chiwa Saito (Homura Akemi in Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica) who will voice Chloe Von Einzburn
- Shizuka Itou (Akeno Himejima from High School DxD) as Luviagelita Edelfelt
- Kana Ueda (Yumi Fukuzawa from Maria-sama ga Miteru) is voicing Rin Tohsaka
- Naoko Takano (Kohaku from Carnival Phantasm) voices Magical Ruby
- Miyu Matsuki (Yoshinoya in Hidamari Sketch) is voicing Magical Sapphire
- Hitomi Nabatame (Kazusa Touma in White Album 2) will voice Bazett Fraga McRemitz

The fourth season of the anime will be adapting the Fate/kaleid Liner Prisma☆Illya Drei!! manga, which is the third manga and a direct sequel to the second manga in the series, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei!. The anime itself had seasons two and three focusing on the second manga series, with the most recent anime Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei Herz! finishing its broadcast on September 26th last year.
Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya is a spin off manga series from Type-Moon’s Fate/stay night franchise by Hiroshi Hiroyama. The manga follows Illyasviel von Einzbern in an alternate universe where she is a magical girl. The manga original released in 2007 in Kadokawa Shoten’s Comp Ace magazine and ran for 2 volumes. A sequel series Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 2wei! released in 2009 and another titled Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya 3rei! began in 2012, which the latter is still ongoing at 6 volumes to date. The anime adaptation of the first manga series aired in June 2013 and a second series in July 2014, both of which were produced by Silver Link (Kokoro Connect, Non Non Biyori). A third season of the anime, Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya 2wei Herz!, aired in Summer 2015.

Spin-off of Fate/stay night with Illyasviel von Einzbern as the protagonist, living an alternate life as a school girl. While taking a bath, she stumbles upon Kaleido Stick Ruby, who turns her into a magical girl.
The Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma☆Illya 3rei!! anime will be airing on July 6th on AT-X at 11:30pm JST, during the Summer 2016 anime season. The anime is being reported to run for 12 episodes. Further information about the anime will be revealed soon.
