The official website of the upcoming Idol Memories TV anime has revealed additional cast members for the October series. In addition, a few new promotional videos were also revealed.
New members of the anime’s supporting cast have been revealed:
- Nana Mizuki (Hinata Hyuuga in Naruto) joins the cast to voice Shoko Shirayuki
- Kosuke Sakaki (Shinichi Asano from Triage X) voices Soichiro Kataoka
- Seira Ryu (Shingo Tsukino in Sailor Moon Crystal) is going to voice Minato Yasukawa
- Ayahi Takagaki (Lisbeth in Sword Art Online) as Minami Yasukawa
- Ryotaro Okiayu (Kunimitsu Tezuka in Prince of Tennis) voicing the role of Ren Hayami
- Takuma Nagatsuka (Lacus Welt in Owari no Seraph) as Takumi Mori

The main cast of the anime includes:
- Moe Toyota (Sapphire Kawashima in Hibike! Euphonium) will lead the cast to voice Vivi Lin, a member of StarRing
- Marika Hayase (Miu Nureha in Venus Project: Climax) voices Sena Hattori, a member of StarRing
- Yuu Kimura (Debut Role) as Kokona Hayakawa, a member of StarRing
- Mayu Sagara (Debut Role) voicing as Miku Kajiwara, the leader of Shadow
- Ruriko Aoki (Riina Tada from The [email protected]: Cinderella Girls) voicing the role of Yucho La, a member of Shadow
- Riko Kohara (Riko in Phantasy Star Online 2: The Animation) as Nanami Hoshi, a member of Shadow

The anime itself will be taking place in the near future where idols have become popular in virtual reality. It will be airing on TV Tokyo this October throughout the Fall/Autumn 2016 anime season. The episodes will feature approx. 15 minutes of anime and 15 minutes of live idol footage. Here is the series’ synopsis:
In the near future where Idols are active in the space of virtual reality, two units from the Shiritsu Kanon Gakuen, which are currently ranking down, are aiming for the top of idol league! Who will be getting the honorable tiara?
The Idol Memories anime will air this October on TV Tokyo, during the Fall/Autumn 2016 anime season. The episodes will be composed of half animation and half live action performances. Further information will be revealed at a later date.
