Following the first screening of Fate/Stay Night: Heaven’s Feel I .presage flower, the first film in ufotable’s (Fate/Zero, Kara no Kyoukai) anime adaptation of the Heaven’s Feel route in Type-Moon’s Fate/stay night visual novel, the first details have been revealed about the second film of the anime trilogy. The 2nd movie will be titled Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly.
The first details about the second film were revealed in an after credits preview trailer after the first film. Not many details about Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel II. lost butterfly were revealed other than its title, a few scenes and that it will be released in 2018.
Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel – I .presage flower released in theatres around Japan on October 14th. A 7 day countdown was released for the film, with a new illustration image from a Type-Moon artist each day. Here are the released countdown images:

Tomonori Sudou (Kara no Kyoukai: Mirai Fukuin) will direct the film trilogy with Takahiro Miura (Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, Fate/Zero) producing the series’ storyboards.
Japanese pop singer Aimer performs the film’s main theme song. She has performed theme songs for various anime, including the recent Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works adaptation.
Fate/stay night is a visual novel released by Type-Moon for the PC in 2004, and is the first in their Fate series. The visual novel was very successful and claimed the title of highest selling visual novel in that year. 2006 saw two adaptations of the game, a manga by Datto Nishiwaki and an anime series by Studio Deen. Additionally in that year, a light novel series titled Fate/Zero was written by Gen Urobuchi. It is a prequel to the visual novels, set 10 years prior. An anime and manga adaptation of Fate/Zero were created, with the manga written by Urobuchi himself in 2011 and the anime being animated by ufotable. A second season of Fate/Zero was also produced. ufotable produced a new Fate/stay night anime based on the Unlimited Blade Works route and is producing a Fate/stay night film based on the Heaven’s Feel Route.

The anime adaptation of Fate/stay night – Heaven’s Feel will consist of 3 movies, with the second film Fate/stay night: Heaven’s Feel – II. lost butterfly set to release in Japan in 2018. The first film, Fate/stay night – Heaven’s Feel: .presage flower, is currently out in theatres across Japan. The film be released in North America on November 3.
