ReLIFE: Final Chapter Releases March 21 – Visual & Commercial Revealed

The official website of the anime adaptation of Sou Yayoi’s ReLIFE web manga has revealed that the upcoming 4 episode long epilogue OVA, ReLIFE: Final Chapter (ReLIFE: Kanketsu-hen), will be released in Japan on March 21st. Additionally, the first visual and commercial were also revealed.

The Final Chapter of the ReLIFE anime will be released under the 7th Blu-ray and DVD volume of the 2016 TV anime. The chapter includes 4 episodes set after the anime’s events.

The volume will also feature non-credited ending sequences and a booklet. The titles of the final episodes are:

  • Report 14「Seed」
  • Report 15「Need」
  • Report 16「Date」
  • Report 17「Life」

The Blu-ray edition of the release will retail for ¥9,800 (~ US$88.40), whilst the DVD will retail for ¥8,800 (~ US$79.40). ReLIFE: Final Chapter will also be available online via Amazon Prime Video on the same day.

ReLIFE is a romance slice of life web manga written and illustrated by Sou Yayoi. The series began in late 2013 being released on NHN PlayArt’s comico web application. The series has a total of 7 compiled volumes. The first two volumes of the manga has more than 450,000 copies in circulation. The series was adapted into a live action stage play and a TV anime series in Summer 2016. The anime aired on Tokyo MX, BS11, GTV and Tochigi TV for a total of 13 episodes.

Here is the series synopsis from MAL:

The story follows Kaizaki Arata, a 27-year-old jobless man, who fails at every job interview he had after quitting his last company. His life changes after he met Yoake Ryou of the ReLife Research Institute, who offered him a drug that can change his appearance to 17-years-old and to become a subject in an experiment for one year. Thus, he begins his life as a high school student once more.

The 4 episode epilogue of the ReLIFE TV anime, ReLIFE: Final Chapter, will release as part of the 7th Blu-ray and DVD volume of ReLIFE on March 21st, 2018. Further details about the final episodes will be revealed in the weeks leading up to its release.
