Darwin’s Game TV Anime Adaptation Slated for January 2020 – First Visual Revealed

The official website for the upcoming TV anime adaptation of FLIPFLOPs’ Darwin’s Game manga has announced that the series will premiere in January 2020. In addition the first key visual has also been released.


The first two main cast members for the anime have been announced, starring:

  • Yuusuke Kobayashi (Subaru Natsuki from Re: Zero Kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu) as Kaname Sudou
  • Reina Ueda (Naru Sekiya in Hanayamata) as Shuka Karino

There will be a special live event on Abema TV on October 29th with both Kobayashi and Ueda attending. The program will announce additional cast members and further information on the upcoming series.

Darwin’s Game is an mystery, action manga written and illustrated by FLIPFLOPs. The series began in December 2012 under Akita Shoten’s Bessatsu Shonen Champion magazine. To date the series has a total of 18 compiled volumes.

An unknowing Sudou Kaname is invited to try out a new mysterious mobile app game called Darwin’s Game, but later realizes that he’s in for more than he’s bargained for when he finds out that there’s no way to quit the game.

The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Darwin’s Game will air in January 2020 during the Winter 2019/2020 anime season.
