Aniplex USA has released an English subtitled teaser trailer for the recently announced Puella Magi Madoka Magica (Mahou Shoujo Madoka☆Magica) sequel film, Puella Magi Madoka Magica the Movie -Walpurgisnacht: Rising-. The new movie will be a sequel to the original TV anime and the 3rd film, Madoka☆Magica: Rebellion. The trailer shows us the returning staff members and gives us a brief listen to the movie’s soundtrack.
A Mahou Shoujo Madoka★Magica anime sequel film is in currently production. Further details will be revealed at a later date.

The main cast from the original series and films will return for the new movie:
- Aoi Yuuki (Tooru Ichii in A-Channel) returns to voice Madoka Kaname
- Chiwa Saito (Hitagi Senjougahara from Bakemonogatari) as Homura Akemi
- Ai Nonaka (Fuuko Ibuki in Clannad) is back as Kyouko Sakura
- Kaori Mizuhashi (Minami Shimada from Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu) as Mami Tomoe
- Eri Kitamura (Yui in Angel Beats!) voices the role of Sayaka Miki
- Kana Asumi (Nyaruko in Haiyore! Nyaruko-san) as Nagisa Momoe
- Emiri Katou (Hideyoshi Kinoshita from Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu) as Kyuubey
