The official website of the upcoming Shiroi Suna no Aquatope (Aquatope of White Sand) anime project has revealed that the series will premiere on July 9th, throughout the Summer 2021 anime season. In addition, a brand new visual and promotional video was also released.
The first episode of Shiroi Suna no Aquatope will premiere on Tokyo MX on the midnight of July 8 JST (effectively July 9th). The anime will then be broadcast on BS11 at 12:30 am JST on the 9th, and RBC at 1:34 am JST. The series will then air on AT-X at 11:30 pm JST on the 12th and finally on MBS on the 14th at 3:00 am JST.

The main cast of the anime includes:
- Miku Itou (Kokoro Tsurumaki from BanG Dream!) leads the cast to voice Kukuru Misakino
- Rikako Aida (Riko Sakurauchi from Love Live! Sunshine!!) as Fuuka Miyazawa
- Azumi Waki (Sanae Katagiri in The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls) voices the role of Tsukimi Teruya
- Lynn (Maya Kyoudou from Sabagebu!) as Karin Kudaka
- Shinba Tsuchiya (Tatara Fujita from Ballroom e Youkoso) voices Kai Nakamura
- Youhei Azakami (Kennosuke Tokisada Ouma in Kuromukuro) as Kuuya Yakamashi
- Hiroshi Yanaka (Nobuhiko Tokiwa in Tamako Market) is voicing the role of Ojii

The opening theme of the anime will be Arcana Project’s Tayutae, Nanairo. The anime’s ending theme will be Tsukiumi no Yurikago from Mia Regina.
Here is the anime’s synopsis from MAL:
Kukuru Misakino, an 18-year-old high school girl working in an aquarium, meets Fuuka Miyazawa, a former idol who lost her place in Tokyo and escaped. Fuuka will spend her days in the aquarium with her own thoughts in mind. However, the crisis of closing is approaching for the aquarium, as the girls explore their dreams and reality, loneliness and friends, bonds and conflicts.
The Shiroi Suna no Aquatope anime will premiere on Tokyo MX at midnight on July 8th/9th.
