The first promotional video has released for the anime adaptation of Midori Endou’s 4 Koma manga Gugure! Kokkuri-san. The series will be produced by TMS Entertainment (Yowamushi Pedal, D.Gray-man) and directed by Yoshimasa Hiraike (AKB0048 First Stage, Working!!). The anime will star Takahiro Sakurai (Suzaku Kururugi in Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch) as Inugami, Jouji Nakata (Alucard in Hellsing) as Shigaraki, Daisuke Ono (Sebastian Michaelis from Black Butler) as Kokkuri-san and Ryou Hirohashi (Kyou Fujibayashi in Clannad) as Kohina Ichimatsu.
Gugure! Kokkuri-san will be airing this October, during the Fall/Autumn 2014 anime season.
Here is a synopsis of the series from MAL:
The story revolves around a little girl named Kohina. Kohina ends up summoning a Kokkuri-san, a low-ranking ghost in Japanese folklore. The Kokkuri-san she calls turns out to be a white-haired handsome, young man. At first he had intended to merely haunt her, but soon he becomes worried about her terrible eating habit of cup ramen for every meal. He later decides to haunt her in order to protect her.
